Iranian movies in comic genre have sold well thus far at Iran box office during Nowruz screenings in the country, a report says.
The Thursday report published by the domestic media said that Iranian comic films ‘The Three Foreigners’, ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’ and ‘Patrol 2’ were among the high-grossing films at Iran box office during the starting days of Nowruz holidays.
This is while, ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’ which opened over a month ago in Iranian theaters grossing 60 billion rials.
Iranian actors Hamid Farokhnejad, Pejman Jamshidi and Sam Derakhshani star in Peyman Qasemkhani’s comedy ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’. The movie tells the story of actors who want to star in a movie.
Masoud Radayi and Habib Esmaili produced the suspenseful drama ‘The Three Foreigners’, starring Iranian actors Amin Hayayi and Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia. The film tells the story of three police officers who come to Iran but run into complications during their mission.
Iranian film ‘Patrol 2’ directed by Saeed Soheili hit Iran big screen during Nowruz holidays in the country. The Iranian feature film is a sequel to ‘Patrol 1’. Abbas and Hassan have served their five-year prison terms. Upon their release from jail, they look for Ata who has recently woken up from coma.
Now the three friends are looking for decent jobs. Unsuccessful in job hunt, however, they may slip again.
Some stars of the film include Hamid Farrokhnejad, Saed Soheili, Poulad Kimiaei, Tarlan Parvaneh, Sara Soheili, Bahareh Afshari, Safar Kashkouli, Mehdi Mahani, and Sanaz Tari.
The Persian new year, Nowruz, begins as the first day of spring arrives in Iran, where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season. New Persian calendar year started on March 21 2017.
